The Oregon Corrections Intake Center (OCIC) is currently located in Oregon City, Oregon. This facility is scheduled to be phased out upon the completion of the new women's prison and intake center in Wilsonville, Oregon. Upon phase out, the current facility will be given to Clackamas County to provide for expansion of their current jail system.
OCIC functions as a maximum custody Institution which houses inmates upon their entry into the Oregon prison system. Inmates are screened and tested to determine their custody levels and then sent to one of Oregon's secure institutions. As of January 2000 the inmate population at OCIC was 130.
Local 2376 is comprised of approximately 15 non-custodial staff, primarily counselors and assessment staff. The remainder of the facility is staffed by Clackamas County personnel.
